After several months of hard work for Team Xpanse, ‘Levity - Xero Error Minus1′ saw the light of day at The Gulf Film Festival 2010 and was met with a great response.

Our film premiered at 7Pm on the 10th of April to a full house and a very excited crowd. It played at the Grand Cinemas at Dubai Festival City which was the main screening venue for the Gulf Film Festival. The film which was featured in the Official Competition Shorts programme, got a resounding ovation from our Xyborgs and the Dubai Twitterati who showed up to root for their favorite Cyborg hero XE7 in his debut film.

The film screening was followed by a livley Q&A session with the Directors of various short films that were featured in the programme. Director Ashraf Ghori mentioned ‘Levity’ was only a part of a much bigger and more elaborate ‘Xero Error’ film which he hopes will become a reality in the near future.

Not everyone was happy though as some could not get tickets for the sold-out screening.  Many of our cast & crew members were also present to witness this milestone : Nick Rego [ Actor who played the part of a news reporter], Phat Mo [ Actor who played the part of video caller & also a singer who had the original single 'Levity' in the film ], Mohammad Mondal [ Associate Producer ], Waqqas Qadir Sheikh [Associate Producer], Rhiannon Downie [ Actress who played the part of ACYD ], Nizam Mohammed [Motion Graphics Designer], Abdul Razzak Al Busmait ‘Q’ [Music & score composer], Nasser Chhipa [Actor who played the part of a news reporter] and Mouna Abbassy [ Actress & Marketing Lead ].

We were happy to have filmmakers Ali Mostafa [ of City of Life ] and Nayla Al Khaja, among other influential people of Dubai, attend the screening and give us thumbs up!

At the opening night gala for the 3^rd edition of GFF, Director Ashraf Ghori and Associate Producer Mohammad Mondal were in the spotlight as they walked the red carpet. UAE’s first Computer Generated science fiction film was the buzz word as curious media personnel were eager to get more detailed information about the film.

“It is history in the making which will open doors for animated feature films produced here for the international market,” Mondal added.
